Description
NYCO GREASE GN 05 is a high-quality NLGI 2 grease, known for its heavy-duty applications in the aviation industry. It’s formulated based on a high viscosity mineral oil and thickened with clay, providing good resistance to water washout and excellent load-carrying capacity. This grease is particularly suitable for heavy-duty wheel bearings, helicopter systems, wheels, starter magnetos, generators, and certain military automotive components, like truck electric retarders (TELMA).
The typical operating temperature range for NYCO GREASE GN 05 is from -18°C to +149°C. However, it’s important to note that this grease should not be used at temperatures below -15°C without a warm-up period at idle or low speed. This is necessary to allow the grease to soften and circulate properly into the bearing parts.
